Carolyn Martin, founder and president of the American Contract Investigators Association (AFCIA), is a federal investigator specializing in personnel security and military criminal-defense cases. She also conducts training in identity theft, personnel security clearance, improvised explosive devices and program protection planning.

Ms. Martin served 14 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and has more than 20 years of military and government experience in project management and personnel supervision; combined tactical and national level intelligence and counter-intelligence operations; and civilian and military defense investigations.

A passionate supporter of national Homeland Security, she has an extensive background in classified and unclassified intelligence database systems and various real-time message archival and retrieval systems.
